plateau fortifications
overgrown hillside,
Green Fort Trail, around the hill, along terraces, upward view of exterior walls,
and up into the Earthworks and back to Car Park.

steep slop ramparts, cannon ports,
follows curving ridge,
fay grove, fallen oak,
medicate and meditate,
chill with Ant People;
Natural Ground Rock Formation or Carefully Laid Terrace Stones...?

constant cicada's buzzing
rises above all critters;
opulent landscapes,
abject poverty homesteads,
way out in boonies - - -
we did find dinner
