After years of being passed over to have an official LCK Set,
and crashing the party and gigging anyway,
John was finally added to the program
and got the respect and credit due
for years of powering forward and influencing generations of
Poets, Writers, Artists, & Blues Aficionados.
In 2023, David Amram had Covid and unable to attend
Lowell Celebrates Kerouac,
John Sinclair filled his spots with the Amram Band at the
Olympia Zorba Room & Reality Alley, Amram Jam, sans David, Old Worthen House
Da Butcha, & John Sinclair,
Reality Alley Amram Jam 2023.
John Sinclair,
like his idol, JLK,
left a big hole in 21st Century United States Literature,
a True Influencer,
and will be for years to come;

The Annual Amram Jam,
this year, David Amram attended,
and the Open Mic was held upstairs instead of down at the
Old Worthen House, Lowtown, MA, 1:00 pm

Da Butcha the assigned Liturgist for morning worship
(& he didn't burst into flames)
an' den, after coffee hour,
motor on over to Lowtown for the
Annual Amram Jam,
Jeffie da Pooh, T'Bone, Ginger, Dr B & Rob V,
for an afternoon of Improvisational Jazz & Original Poetry.
Wireless Mike intros the Amram Jam Band, David, Keys, etc, Adam Amram, congas,
Kevin Twigg, drums, Renee Hart, bass, & Jerome, guitar
"I was going to do a piece written specifically for this Amram Jam,
then John Sinclair died...
I will do this piece from 21 years ago, read downstairs during a
John Sinclair and Blues Scholars Show;
don't know if it was part of LCK or not, Larry Carradini Hosted, the house was packed,
standing room only, rocking out, Eddy Dyer was there, and so was David Amram,
who came in from the street as I was performing, lost in the refrain, Yoking, in sync with the
Blues Scholars, nothing else there, only my voice and the music,
and I had to get up off the floor and get out of it and finish it off,
which I did, completely drained, Yokoing being very cathartic when done right,
the crowd went crazy, minds blown, John gave me a CD, mind blown,
and, with blown mind, David told me later,
he had to come back in to, "Find out who was making that wonderful noise!"
Now that's a compliment!
I've never been able to reach the height of that night...
OK, Maestro, let's have some inspirational music in the key of the blues
and see where it goes this time around..."
and the band began to play and the Pote began to read,
to see where it went...
