Aura's Effect

It took all night

to upload digital pix,

over 400!

Didn't upload auto

into Google Photos,

something changed

and I can't find the reset!

Had to upload two times

as Chromebook shut off

for some reason,

midway through...AARRGH!

Technology is not my friend.

Slowly, slowly, bit by bit by byte

information loads, screen darkens,

power saver mode, trust

continues to upload,

even with screen black.

Unbreakable Faith in Lord,

He has shown reliability,

computers...not so much,

tech is not my pal.

Clark Art Museum

Pix didn't upload into photos,

after two attempts, shut laptop down,

will try again at Think Tank;

now we go to, Clark Art Museum,

"The Clark", reserved three 11:00 am tix,

CAT Tummy upset, but...SHE'S GOING!

and she can't stay at motel, anyway.

$10.00 tickets, bargain for expansive,

gallery upon gallery building,

sculptures, fine paintings, pools,

artists span globe, Winslow Homer to

Rembrandt to Remington, and MORE!

Three floors of STUFF!

That Crazy Clark Couple,

sure did collect a lot of THINGS,

even two life size portraits

of the pair seated, young...

Praise the Wealthy who collect Art

and purchase property,

then bequeath it to community

for all to enjoy...HALLELUJAH!

Les Musee et Late Lunch

Average two hours viewing artworks

at Bennington museum and The Clark,

1:00 pm seems to be the time for lunch,

by 2:00 pm, Sunday no different,

hit up random tavern for BLT,

joe, Scrod, BBQ Brisket, and H2O;

house specialty, Eggplant Fries,

all done to desired doneness,

crispy, delicious, nutritious,,

inside dining as wind whips

beach patio area napkins fly,

hairdos tear apart, skirts lift,

pendulous dark grey clouds,

rain on the air, mountaintops fogged in,

plot post lunch jaunt,

free tourism cartoon map

shows Williamstown Motel

and up the route, Notch Road,

access to, Mount Greylock Summit,

by AUTOMOBILE!

LET'S DO IT!

Mountainside Ride

6.5 miles

to War Memorial Park

State Reservation,

Massachusetts first,

four huge acres grew to twelve,

trails cross access roads;

granite block tower,

70 mile beacon,

honoring War Vets,

tops Greylocks alpine summit,

last of observation decks;

tourist attraction

since Thoreau had that camp out

and wrote about it;

uphill twists, s-curves,

pine, maple shade, snaking black,

downhill percent grades,

overlooks reveal valley

gateway towns line bowl bottom;

every green shade

farms, downtowns sunshine illumes,

summit...not so much.

Altitude Attitude Adjustment

Walk 'round monument

gettin' high on Mount Greylock,

breathe deep mountain air;

stunted alpine spruce,

marbled granite glacier scarred,

scattered hikers rest;

wander mountaintop

back to Scoobie-soob comfort,

warm out of cold wind,

spark'a splooghato, heat up,

roll on alternate descent;

more forest, clifface,

burbling brooks, rivers, meadows,

creations beauty;

Visitor Center

at foots main gate, closed, silent,

motor to seven,

merge with two, onto motel

to chill copiously out.
