What a long strange trip it's been,

Wednesday, April 29, 2020,

Da Butcha, had completed his Psalm 23 Project for, Ballard Vale UCC,

23 Clark Road, Ballard Vale, Andover, MA, exterior, interior,

"All Are Welcome Here, and All Means All." even Da Butcha, a Poet.

Da Butcha, prior to falling into the fryer, interior thoughts, exterior excitement,

Ballard Vale UCC, featuring bell from original church, & interior from A/V Loft,

the project, a Meditation for presentation via video short that following Sunday,

all he need do was to record a video clip and email it to, Glen Mac, A/V,

for insertion into that week's program;

the piece may be reread on last week's post.

And now we begin a timeline of highlights in words and pictures of our journey,

source material and imagery,

23rd Psalm, w/ handwritten sentence numbers to match Bible Version, an illustration,

Rehearsal Reading, and off for a stroll in fresh air and sunshine!

A new trailhead, Billerica State Forest, aka: Town Forest; borderland fire road,

on a random trail up and around, Butcha's life turned upside down,

"Hello, Ma, I'm in the Emergency Room!"  Dr. Smiley & Assistant, explains procedure,

Reborn, Obi Wan Can'obie Layke Pahrk, New Creation, IV umbilical cord,

Post Op, Ouch, does the left knee appear swollen?

Constant Support System, at home, showing off Doc's handiwork...so far,

Staples, not stitches, uncovered for removal,

Not sure what this one's for, these two are for screws,

major incision to access fracture, staples freshly removed and wounds wiped down,

note the little X's, like in the cartoons,

doesn't look too bad, and now we learn to walk again!

T'Bone, Home Aid, Das Mann, Moral Support, "Baby Steps! Baby Steps!"

follow-up with Dr. Smiley, x rays tell a story, note, rod and screws,

Obi Wan contemplating, meditating, celebrating, able to hike once more,

Reborn New Creation joins, BVUC, "They were there for me."

surgery scars one year later, pix don't do them justice,

faded, not forgotten, pain dulled, twinges remain;

yet, from start, saw path laid out, clear tunnel vision, knew, everything's cool,

everything's fine, Know I've got Friends in Higher Power Places...

"The Lord Helps those that help themselves, PRAISE BE! I'm MUCH BETTER NOW!"

Rejoicing the day the Lord has made,

following The Way ahead

knowing, The Spirit Personally goes ahead, and is with me.
