Getting old ain't no fun

thank God I'm not the only one

a Tenant at sufferance of life

surviving joy, sorrow, strife;

Yah, growing up ain't no picninc

creatures, creepy crawlers to lick

infesting blanket table space

infecting familiar happy place;

Oh, yes, becoming elder ain't no treat,

short of breath, aching bones and feet,

difficult path of employment 

golden years of retirement;

Yeah buoy, ain't no ease, Senior Citizenship,

young folks call us unhip

and those of us who lose will to live

must remember the alternitive...

Yay, ain't no escaping yearly aging

there's no use in whining, raging,

recall ole wives proverb once read

"Above ground is better than dead."

"Better than Dead."
