Out on the road for five days
Fort Hill - Serpent Mound put us in'a'haze
Gettysburg Battlefield National Monument
took us home in a reflective moment
incommunicado, almost off da grid
only posting pix of what duo did
motor back to home safe and sound
positive waves and good vibes abound -
We're feelin' fine just because...
Oh-hi-OH! What a road trip it was!
Back from da road after five days
nonchalantly roomie sez as we blaze
"Hey...did ya hear 'bout ice riots in L. A?"
"What? They ran out of cubes?" I say.
"No-no, ICE RAIDS! RIOTS!" he replies,
"Pez T'Rump sent the Guard!" he cries.
The report makes a disconcerting sound
positive waves and good videos don't abound -
focus on feelin' fine just because...
OH-HIGH-OH! What a Road Trip it was!
We go out on the road for five days
in late spring summery haze
radio silent, semi-incommunicado
far from dick waving bravado
and in that work week of sunny weather
the U. S. A. couldn't keep it together?!?!

I'm Feelin' Fine only because...

work all the live long week
all they get is exhausted and meek
what Beloved Saint is gonna save
emancipated wage slave?
Ever'body's high on luxury living
for themselves strive unforgiving
except those who cannot
low money for rent do they got
slog financially 'til they're beat
barely keep their butts off the street
what Pius Person is gonna lift up
downtrodden staving off beggars cup?
Ever'body's petitioning for World Peace
Prisoner - Hostage - Homeless Release
except those in socio-politico web caught
Basic Human - Geneva Rights forgot
counter to country's ruling board
innocence that stepped up and roared
who else will come forward, volunteer, too?
It's gonna haf'ta be...Me an' You...
