Shower, light brekkie,

pack'a wrap'a two, chick sal',

chips, chockies, brownies;

pack bags, load Rogu,

set controls for OH - HI - OH!

follow road map plan;

get motor runnin'

an hour before dawn breaks,

sunrise in rear-view;

Visitor Center, fresh air,

bathroom, snack, untoasted 'cake;

ground mist, mountain fog,

hot, black, coffee, alt' music,

7/30: Highway Haiku and Tanka

Tandem trailer rig

hazardous materials

FLAMMABLE warning

and DANGEROUS WHEN WET, like

overexcited pussy -

Chevy Malibu

cruises past, man at the wheel,

license plate state, "KROOZ" -

8/30: Stop and Go

Highway construction

roadwork improvement projects

taxes in action -

Incident ahead

left lane closed, merge right, tractor,

trailer, guardrail, squeeze -

Along break down lane

a doe, a deer, female deer

quite a few deer strikes -

Piss breaks, leg stretches, Joe shops,

beautiful drive fuel stops -

Interstate cuts through

WILDS of PENNSYLVANIA

rolling mountain farms -

9/30: Nourishment, Light Lunch

HIGH NOON!

Time for LUNCH!

Where's a Rest Area...?

Few and far between...

Blue sign appears

rest area, 3/4 mile, YAY!

in time, wraps before 1 pm

Chicken salad and chips...hits the spot

then hit the comfort station

and we're off! Now to find...Dirty Chai!

10/30: I am the Passenger

HIGH NOON! SPARK IT UP!

One hitter bat blast deep draws

pre lunch - post nosh puffs -

11/30: Picnic Treat

Hey-ay, Donnie,

I love thee,

for da Sammie,

it was YUMMY!

12/30: Small Miracles

Mountainous boonies

truck stops, local diners, farms,

not Starbucks Country;

Dunks, gas stop, java,

craving Dirty Chai Latte

seek like a junkie;

comment on lack of

Picnic Rest Areas, then...

magically appears;

pick random D-D, they serve

CHAI LATTES! Get two dirty.

Either in Matrix,

create reality, or...

God DOES answer Prayer.

13/30: Keep P-A Beautiful

Shredded tires and

carcasses litter freeway

otherwise...lil trash -

14/30: Interstate Scenes

Local and State Cops,

shopping plazas and truck stops,

bridges destruction,

rest area's construction,

farmers prepare fields for crops -

15/30: Scofflaws

(Now Entering)

Safety Corridor

Highway Patrol Coverage

ZERO Tolerance

traffic laws strictly enforced,

Don't Even THINK About Speeding -

16/30: Where Do the Farmers Play?

Large acres for sale

industry encroaches farms

strip mall franchises

planted in former cornfields,

McMansions in stead of barns -
