Homeward Bound Riders on the Storm

Twenty-seven: Fozzys Brethren

Cops, coppers, po-po,

fuzz, flatfoots, bears, and paddies,

long arm of the law

enforcement, safety

corridor, tollway, backroad,

heavily patrolled

Mass to Maine and back

as if holiday weekend,

yet, it's Mon' thru Thurs',

former president in state?

Direct Action happening?

Nope, just another

work week, nuthin' special June,

maybe a wedding?

Whatev', queers aware

of boys in blue on prowl,

Officer Friendly

walking downtown beat, on bike

rolling up all quiet like...

Partake in fresh air

on mount, in room, at rest stop,

small circle of one.

Twenty-eight: Drives with Two Fists

(Rides Again)

Overcast, raw chill,

at day break, head south post brekk'

into storm's lead edge,

downpours worsen as

motor down tollway, windshield

wipers can't keep up,

drive blind, pray fellow

drivers go slow with lights on,

dark outlines ahead,

Tesla, no lights, disappears

into mist, white paint camo';

hard, soft, drizzle, fog,

Piscataqua River Bridge

wears cottony shroud;

slowly clears in Mass,

hit up Chicken connection,

hot, fresh, pot pie lunch,

survived stormfronts raging edge

back to Merrimack Valley;

good thing replaced blade,

rain predicted, poured it did,

and heroes prepared.

Twenty-nine: Cloudy Back-up

Unpack space launch Red,

DaS packs stuff in Cavelier,

hugs, kisses, so long,

"See ya later, Butch'"

"Toodles for now, Ginger Mann."

DaS splits for his pad;

Da uploads photos

into Google Photos

system not auto

like laundo-washer for DaS,

load, start, go upstairs, do stuff,

Butcha's gotta watch

Chromebook, manually load

to Account Pictures;

nothing else to do

than sit around house, get high,

and watch tube in nude...

newly purchased DVD

Blue Ray, and music CD's,

invoke saints spirit,

conjure Jacks ghost, magic verse,

as laptop loads pix...

Thirty: Free Time

     Home earlier than expected due to rain, our heroes have time to unpack and get

personal chores done, irony is, it cleared up after they cruised white knuckled by exits

for Portland and Portsmouth.

     Well, unsettled is more like it, dark clouds pass over, block out sun for a moment,

threaten more rain, then move along pendulously.

     DaS Ginger Mann to return to Think Tank, refreshed for Friday's return to usual,

pick-up Pumpkin, run some errands, hang out, walkies if weather permits.

     Saturday, Memorial for Butcha's Aunt and Uncle, Sunday, back to church and

another work week begins.

     As it was driving thru the storm, so is life, push on with faith sun shines above the

clouds and it's only a passing front.
