One: Shake Down Cruise I

Prep Work

     Saturday morning as usual, wake, DaB brews java, DaS Ginger Mann showers, dresses,

whips up oatmeal with raisins and special secret seasonings. T'Bone enters, shares brekkie,

does dishes, as Da Butcha dresses, ready for errands, the trio heads off.

     Old Indian Springalingding, fresh agua, an' den...Enterprise Rental Company to pick up

vehicle; signing out the Hyundai Elantra, Butcha mentions to Rep, "rented small four door coupe

to save money and spent same amount as would renting an SUV for a week, how does that

happen...?"  Rep gave an additional 5% discount.

and Home for Wayward Men an' den...

     SHAKE DOWN CRUISE!

     For Elantra, dubbed, Red, space launch from...The Enterprise...ha-ha...ensure is solid to

journey to outer reaches of New England, Bangor, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park, by

way of Augusta and Waterville Bullmoose Records/Tapes/CDs/Books/DVDs, our Maine

Entertainment outlet.

     Shake Down Cruise to Blood Farm for fresh MEAT!  Lunch and Sunday Brekkie;  Basket

stop for asparagus.

Two: Sat Lupper and Dessert Run

     Chef Ginger mans da grill, flame broils fresh MEAT!  Hamburgers with foil wrapped asparagus and sweet onions, toasts Dave's Super Rolls, melts thick cut white and orange american cheese, dripping perfectly, photo op ready...fuck that...LET'S EAT!

     3:00 pm, late lunch, early supper, it's...LUPPER!  Delicious and nutritious with red bliss tater

salad, dill sammie slices, bread and butter chips, don't worry mom, we're eating right!

     Shake Down Cruise Deuce, to Dolce Vita Gelato for scoops and sundaes, authentic Italian

frozen treats made fresh in the back room, watch 'em fill the stainless tubs, place new flavors in

display case; Butcha orders orange/choc' chip hot fudge sundae...YUM!

Three: On the Way Home

     Full to brim on burgers and gelato, roll on over and waddle on in to,

Bull Moose, Salem, NH, DaB browses and buys, Pirates of Caribbean' and Say You Will,

Fleetwood Mac CD, window shops a bit, but DA tummy wants to download a brownload and

T'Bone, DaS Mann, and Butcha, hurriedly hit the road for home to chill an' pack an' finalise

the different vaca', leaving from Dracule, on a Monday to spend time in Maine until Thursday,

during the week...WHAT?!?!  

     Usually it's Thursday 'til Tuesday & leave from Lowtown; rented four door intermediate sedan 

and weekly rate cost same as RAV4, so much for saving money; Enterprise Rep gave some 

discounts, which are better than no discounts, and unlimited miles IS unlimited miles!

     One more day of prep an' den...

Four: Sunday, June 5, 2022

In a Spirit of Sacred Vacation

Oh, Holy Abba

and Sacred Divine Mother,

bless, watch over us,

Ballard Vale Service,

joy of abundant pollen,

life reproduction,

coats, shoes, autos, grass,

puddles, gather yellow motes,

stain rivers shoreline;

Sat an' Sun greenspace walkies

soak up sunshine and fresh air;

rain washed allergens,

never to reproduce plants,

lost to springtime winds.

Weekend Shake Down Cruise

with T'Bone, Miss Daisy'like

backseat style, rides,

shootin' shite, DaS Radio,

roll down back roads to nowhere.

Rental doesn't malfunction, Good Times!

Amen - Hallelujah!

Five: In the Evening

     Marinated pork chops, bone in, grilled to perfection by Chef Ginger, with red bliss

potato salad on a bed of mixed greens, Tripoli Bakery Lawtown sweets, choc' cannoli

for DaS, Trad' Cannoli for Neill Chassidy, Head Think Tankian, Creme Puff for T'Bone,

and Mississippi Mud brownie-cake-choc' mousse thingy for Butcha; side white choc'

macadamia nut cookie for ride across the other side of the moonscape to Base Think Tank.

     Baked goods post Ward Hill Hike, more fresh air and sunshine, we skipped Lowtown

Pride June 4 to get MEAT! and walk conservation land in Groton, site of many a fox

hunt...no...really.

     Battery for camera dead, forgot had spare in jacket, no pix for Saturday Walkies, but,

Sunday onward, batteries were freshly charged and ready to go!

Six: Early to Bed and All That

     Netflix Movie and night night, sleep tight, rest up for Monday ROAD TRIP!

     Bangor and the Downeast Coast, unusual Big Queer (Poet's) Holiday, no

set plans 'cept whatever comes along.

     Plan, get to Bangor, an' den...

     3 strange days, we have no obligations.

     Da Butcha seals up black carry-on duffle, bell boy hops it on downstairs to

kitchen, Da lays out blue carpenter jeans outfit for drive up, piss stop at usual

spot and they'll go beyond exit 75, past the capitol of Maine and drop into the

Downeast, it's all in the curve of the earth, ya know.

     DaS Ginger Mann and Da Butcha snuggle into Nod, cool night air spun into

spirals by ceiling fan...

     Monday morning, return to wakefulness, Butcha brews java, DaS showers...
