Marlon comes to his conclusion; a local actor reads a story re: Gnome Audition
DaS Mann hangs on each phrase, as the band is silent, listening
Marie reads her piece, hand on hip, feminine tough
Warrior, enlivens the stage with his brand of poems
Da Butcha takes the boards by storm
"WOW! I am so ENERGIZED!" as a local Poet animates the mic
Art Collins, shares his experiences in verse
Gislaine reads Jack Kerouac, soon to return to Oh, Canada!
Eunice rounds out the night with a magical performance that got the crowd riled up
Jeff Robinson, Sax, Phil Neighbors, Drums, & Blake Newman, Bass,
end the evening on a high note.

An Evening with David Amram
at the Luna Theatre, Mill 5, Jackson St, Lowtown

The short film, The Beat Generation, aka: Pull My Daisy, 1959
was screened, starring Allen Ginsburg, Gregory Corso,
and David Amram, as Mez Mcgillicuddy,
narrated by Jack Kerouac, music by David Amram;
very much fun.
Then, the star, spry and lively at 92,
David Amram, Multi Instrumentalist and Jazz Legend, with LCK Organizer, Steve
DaS Mann's enthralled, David recollects his days jamming with Jack
A Reading of Kerouac, Amram improvs accompaniment
a local writer pays respects in verse
Jack Kerouac's Nephew reads the words of his famous uncle by marriage
even the owner of the "On the Road Scroll" takes a page to voice
"Yeah, man, that's groovy."  "Yes, David, and your playing is SPECTACULAR!"

Jamming with Dad

YAH! GO, MAN, GO!
Da Butcha in total ecstasy; guest axman from, Fences, JK inspired band
"OK, lads, let's get CRAZY!"
the crowd thins out as the last note fades.
