Long day's journey toward home

with sightseeing stops,

Leroy, Sharon Springs,

Jell-o Museum and lunch

then final push east

along Interstate 90

nations coast to coast beeline;

Jell-o Museum

with basement transportation

exhibate, musty

cars, carriages, sleighs,

local manufacturers,

wealthy residents

by gone industry era

areas prosperity;

Erie Canal brought

mills, tourism, and culture

until...Motor Freight.

in Leroy, NY, 4 flaves,

strawberry, orange,

lemon, and bright green,

good product, bad business sense,

Patent changes hands.

Each new owner puts

own spin on selling dessert,

billed as dainty treat,

kids go door to door, give out

samples, first one's always free,

little sweets dealers

caught in fructosian lie,

big name celebs' and artists,

confection's a hit!

International Markets,

everyone loves...JELL-O!

Major Drag (Eats'wise)

Post Jell-O Musee

head east to Sharon Springsville,

off tollway onto

blueways and unpaved

shortcut over small mountain

to postage stamp town,

Home of, Beekman Soap,

goat milk based beauty products

online and in store,

or on Home Shopping Network,

owners personally hawk;

somewhat expensive

unique niche goods for wealthy

earth conscious hippies.

DaS picks up few things

then off to lunch, cafe in

S. Springs closed as boys

pulled up out front hungrily,

only ice cream stand nearby;

23 miles

later...Duanesburg Diner, big,

red arrow, FOOD HERE!

"You've seen this, here's where it resides..."

"Can you spot the silly selfie sets?"

"A Poetry Festival?!?! HOW GAY!"

"This reminds me of my faceless, Small, but Loyal Cult Following Fan Club... That's it for..."

"Main Street, Downtown, Sharon Springsville, NY."

I am the Passenger

Sandwiches, pickles,

fries, apple and cherry crisps,

bathroom and...COFFEE!

an' den...DaS takes wheel,

3 hour push to Lowtown

arrive post sunset,

unload luggage from

Incognito Burrito

over to Pumpkin,

small stuff in arm rest in morn',

final clear out inspection;

refresh with toast and

pink lemon lime aloe bev',

ready for beddie;

total exhaustion,

snuggle with DaS, fall asleep,

thinking of lessons,

Kerouac called, 'Satoris',

borderland sightseeing taught

canal locks, Jell-O,

day-night Niagara, and

Amish with cellies -

"I'm gonna sleep like a baby!"

*: Original Pancake House Breakfast, usually our heroes try to find a different breakfast joint

every day, this was not to be in the Greater Niagara Falls Metro Area, for there are no other

restaurants, diners, greasy spoons open at, 7:00 am,

therefore it was, The Original Pancake House, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday,

Praise Be that it was well worth it! Hallelujah!
