Welcome to, Salutations from,  Obi Wan Can'obie Layke Park Google Blog,

the one blog in billions that dares to tell it like it is and one of the most important and

noteworthy events of the season went off like a rocket this past Second Tuesday of August,

and that was the rebirth of, Jongleur Poetry Club,

a sad loss in the early days of the Coronavirus 2019 Pandemic,

along with brothers and sisters all over the country, some went on to successful Zoom Readings,

others went underground, speakeasy poetry readings, romantic verse in bedrooms, some passed

from existence altogether, and others,

well, they went dormant, hibernation,

the 2nd Tuesday Jongleur Poetry Open is of this category;

curled up in a ball, in a dark quiet closet,

from the appearance of forest detritus, and a prickly growth,

Jongleurs larvae and cocoon, the Open is reborn as a beautiful,

Comma Butterfly,

subspecies, 2nd Tuesday Agape Poetry Open,

this species thrives on all types of Poetry, Music, Song, Dance, Snackage,

and spreads quickly via word of moth and internet

The Comma Butterfly,

able to blend in with it's environment, like Poets,

& grammatical moniker that Poets tend to forget.

In the beginning...there was the set up,

then welcomes, housekeeping, and Langston Hughes,

Wendy, shares, Dorothy Parker,

the audience participation portion of the program...

Immaculate Corpse Poem,

by, Wendy, Don, Peg, and

Obi Wan, as that evening's Host,

"The Immaculate Corpse Poem is similar to the,

Exquisite Corpse, or Fold Over Poem, see definition below,

in that a blank sheet of lined paper and a pen goes around the circle

and everyone attending adds two lines, not just one word, based on the theme/subject,

or with the previous lines, however,

Immaculate Corpse Poems are not folded over;

we do play a version of, Exquisite Corpse,

where 3 lines are written and one or two are folded over and passed to the next attendee,

and we call this the Immaculate Corpse Challenge and Immaculate Corpse...EXTREME!

The end product is then read by the person who wrote the first lines,

and we must say, the results are always interesting.

Exquisite Corpse: is a collaborative poetry game that traces its roots to the

Parisian Surrealist Movement. Exquisite Corpse is played by several people,

each of whom writes a word on a sheet of paper, folds the paper to conceal it,

and passes it on to the next player for his or her contribution."

spring, summer, fall, winter,

time for new growth and rebirth from death

the past is gone, if it ever existed,

sometimes I wonder, was anything true;

rebirth is remembering the past - the Best and the Worst,

The opportunity now is to leave the past

and enter into present and enjoy the now

and take ourselves into the future with hope and love ahead,

Inspiration NOW! Ideas born on the wing

Memories of The NOW! Fly off on the ether

time to celebrate life,

time to celebrate death,

fling the doors wide, jump and dance,

move ahead, no need for plans

Plans take time, let's live in the moment

and enjoy the moment.

T'Bone say, "Mmmph-mmph-burp!"; Jeffie the Pooh declares, "These fries are EXCELLENT!"

Obi, freaks, "Lookit this sammie! This frie mound! LOOKIT THIS WHOOPIE PIE!"

"It's as big as my HEAD!"
